Tabor City man dies after crashing into bridge railing in South Carolina
LORIS, S.C. (WPDE) — A Columbus County man is dead after a single vehicle wreck near Loris Tuesday night.
The driver of a 2000 Mercury, Harrelson Long, was headed south on Pond View Road around 8 p.m. when he drove on the right side of the road and struck a bridge railing, according to the Highway Patrol and the coroner’s office.
Long, 60, was from Tabor City, according to Deputy Horry County Coroner Michelle McSpadden.
WPDE reports that he was not wearing a seat belt and died as a result of his injuries.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
