WPD spokeswoman Linda Thompson said a woman was climbing on the bridge and police had called in a negotiator to help deal with the situation. At 5:51 p.m., Thompson said in an e-mail that the bridge was back open and the woman was being taken to the hospital.
Thompson had earlier said police were dealing with a man climbing up the side of the bridge.
