Wilmington man accused of raping child

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington man is accused of raping a six-year-old girl.

Alfredo Transisto Duran-Rivas, 29, is charged with statutory rape of child by adult, indecent liberties with a child, and statutory sex offense with a child by an adult.

According to warrants, the alleged crimes happened between July 24, 2017 and May 27, 2018.

Duran-Rivas was arrested Wednesday morning. He is being held under a $1 million bond.
