Wilmington Black Professionals host networking event

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — It was a dressy affair in downtown Wilmington this past weekend as the Wilmington Black Professionals hosted their first ever all white party.

Nearly 200 people packed the rooftop bar on Front Street Saturday.

WWAY’s Amanda Fitzpatrick co-hosted the event with her husband, Yusef Abdur Razzaaq.

The event was held to give black professionals in the area an opportunity to network and get to know each other.

This was the group’s fifth event. There was food, mingling and dancing.

The next Wilmington Black Professionals event will be in August.
