Supply man pleads guilty in Walgreens armed robbery


BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Supply man will spend up to six years in prison for robbing a pharmacy and threatening to shoot an employee.

According to the district attorney’s office, Wilford Turman went to the Walgreens in Supply on February 19, 2016.

He threatened to shoot the employee who was helping him, if she did not provide him with Percocet pills.

The employee handed over a bottle of Oxycodone tablets, and Turman left the pharmacy.

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s office investigated the robbery and identified Turman as the suspect.

In court on Tuesday, Turman pleaded guilty to robbery with a dangerous weapon.

The judge sentenced him to between four and six years in prison.
