Columbus County woman charged with child sex crime

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Tabor City woman is accused of performing a sex act on a child.

According to the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, Whitney Iesha Miller, 27, was arrested Tuesday and is charged with felony child abuse sexual act.

The alleged crime happened from May 8 to May 10 at a home on Smith Avenue in Tabor City.

The sheriff’s office says the child was under the age of 16 at the time.

Miller is being held under a $30,000 bond.
