Carolina Beach mother charged with murder of baby

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — A Carolina Beach woman has been indicted by a grand jury for the death of a child.

According to a release from the Carolina Beach Police Department, 35-year-old Amy Marie Miles has been charged with second degree murder in the death of one-month-old Adalynn Elizabeth Garner.

The infant died on January 20 of this year.

A grand jury indicted Miles on Monday, and she was arrested and placed in the New Hanover County jail on a $10,000 secured bond.
