Leland man accused of child sex crimes, incest

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — A Brunswick County man faces child sex crimes and incest.

Cornelius Lashawnne Johnson, 31, was arrested on Dec. 10.

Johnson is charged with indecent liberties with a child, first-degree statutory sex offense, statutory rape of a child by an adult, and incest.

Warrants state he engaged in “lewd” and “lascivious” acts on a child under the age of 13.

The crimes took place from January 1-November 19.

Johnson remains in jail under a $1,250,000 secured bond.
