Leland man killed in crash on US 74
LELAND, NC (WWAY) — The North Carolina Highway Patrol says a Leland man died in a car accident in Brunswick County Thursday morning.
Shortly before 10 a.m., Trooper King with the highway patrol says the crash happened on US 74 near US 421 just a half mile east of Leland.
Lee Wilson Hauser Jr. ran off the road to the right, hit a road sign, then continue to strike a tree before overturning.
Hauser’s vehicle did not hit any other cars. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was wearing his seat belt and troopers say there is no evidence of intoxication, braking, or speeding.
