Crews rescue three cats from house fire in Wilmington
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Crews rescued three cats from a house on fire Friday afternoon in Wilmington.
The Wilmington Fire Department says it happened Kingston Road around 2:45 p.m.
When crews arrived they saw smoke and flames. Fortunately, everyone was out of the home and there were no injuries.
Three cats that were still inside the home were rescued by crews. A WFD firefighter even donated crates for the residents to keep the cats in until they can return home.
The fire is ruled accidental due to cooking.
The Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents.
