Police arrest teen in connection with shooting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police have arrested a teen in connection to a shooting that happened Monday morning and left a 30-year-old man injured.

Police say it happened near 6th and Meares Streets just before 10 a.m. Monday.

Narmel Davis, 17, was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and possession of a firearm by a minor.

Witnesses told police they heard several shots. Police say the victim is in good condition.

Police believe that two other males were with Davis at the time of the shooting.
