Pedestrian killed in Brunswick County
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office said a pedestrian was killed Friday morning.
Officials said it happened on R and R Way off of Malmo Loop Road Northeast just before 8 a.m.
A BCSO spokeswoman said Kenneth Wayne Klutz, 57, of Winnabow, was killed.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol was initially called out to the scene, but since it was on private property the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation.
So far, officials believe it was an accident.
