Veterans of Wilmington honored by Military Market

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – Our Vietnam veterans are often not given the recognition they deserve.

Military Market made sure that today, they were. They held an expo for Wilmington vets this afternoon.

They provided all kinds of free resources like access to employment information, veteran claims and even yoga classes.

Military Market owner Beverly Lowden explains why it’s important to hold events like these: “this is a big military area and with so many in the area that served in the armed forces, they need to know what’s going on.”

Lowden says that this is an event that should’ve been held a long time ago.
