Driver will not face charges in Leland crash involving teen

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — The driver who hit a 14-year-old pedestrian on Friday will not face charges.

Leland Police say the crash happened on Old Fayetteville Road between Skipper and Basin streets.

According to a news release, an investigation determined there were no contributing circumstances by the driver of the vehicle.

Police say they do not have an update on the condition of the 14-year-old who was hit, other than she received multiple injuries.
