New Year’s Day Dolphin Dip in Surf City will support Share the Table

SURF CITY, NC (WWAY) — On New Year’s Day, people from around the world will gather in Surf City to start the new year with a plunge into the Atlantic Ocean.
The 24th Annual Dolphin Dip festivities kick off at the Roland Avenue Beach Access at 11 a.m. on January 1.
Attendees may see dinosaurs, belly dancers, and lots of awesome costumes.
The dip happens at 12 p.m.
There is no cost to attend.
Organizers said it’s free for the whole family, including your pets.
Proceeds from t-shirt sales and other merchandise sales at the Dolphin Dip will benefit Share the Table.
The non-profit that provides free community meals, a food pantry, and school backpack program.
Share the Table feeds more than 1,000 Pender and Onslow County residents each week.
The merchandise table will be at the Roland Avenue Beach Access parking lot.
Dolphin Dip organizers ask attendees to bring cash or checks (no cards) and support a great cause while having a lot of fun.
