Carolina Beach Ocean Rescue team takes second at national competition

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (WWAY) — The Carolina Beach Ocean Rescue team placed second in the C Division at the 2026 United States Lifesaving Association Championships in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The finish follows the team’s first-place result at the SALA Championships in July.
The USLA Championships bring ocean rescue teams from across the country together to compete in events that test the skills, knowledge and physical endurance required of ocean rescue lifeguards.
Carolina Beach Ocean Rescue thanked the community for its continued support.
