Pleasure Island Chamber announces 2026 Wave Awards honorees

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The Pleasure Island Chamber of Commerce has announced seven honorees for its 2026 Wave Awards, recognizing businesses, organizations and community members in the Pleasure Island area.

The awards are in their third year. According to the chamber, this year’s recipients were selected by a panel made up of business owners, public officials and chamber members.

The 2026 honorees are:

  • Britt’s Donuts — Pat Efird Iconic Business Award
  • Pete Green — Valor Award
  • Surf’s Up Mini Golf — New Business “Rookie of the Year” Award
  • WARM NC — Non-Profit Award
  • Lynn Halterman — Volunteer Award
  • Anthony’s Way — A Road to Kindness — Leadership Award
  • Jeremy Bivens — Duke Energy Citizenship & Service Award

“We are excited to celebrate this year’s honorees chosen by a Blue-Ribbon Panel comprised of business owners, public officials, and chamber members,” Pleasure Island Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jim DeGilio said.

The honorees will be recognized during the Wave Awards gala on Nov. 19 at Kindred Wedding and Events in Carolina Beach.

The event will include an awards presentation, dinner and music. Tickets are $79, according to the chamber.
