Crews complete repairs on Wilmington’s ‘One Tree Hill’ bridge

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The bridge that was made famous on the TV show “One Tree Hill” has been undergoing structural repairs.

As of Tuesday, the construction is complete on the one-way Harry Forden 6th Street bridge, which crosses the old path of the CSX rail line, between Campbell and Hanover Streets.

The rehabilitation of this historic structure involved sandblasting and repainting the truss, replacing the wooden decking for pedestrians, and structural repairs to the steel and concrete platform.
