Man charged with rape, sexual battery in New Hanover County jail

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A 20-year-old man facing charges involving sexual acts is in the New Hanover County jail.

According to the jail’s website, Eddie Jerel Boney was arrested Tuesday for second-degree rape, second-degree sexual offense, and sexual battery.

He is being held under a $150,000 bond.

His first court appearance is Wednesday.
