Man being held in New Hanover County jail faces sex crimes involving child

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A 28-year-old man is in the New Hanover County jail for sex crimes involving a child.

Lucas Lux-Tiquiram was arrested Friday morning.

According to the jail’s website, he is charged with statutory sex offense with a child <=15 years old, rape of a child, and two counts of indecent liberties with a child.

Lux-Tiquiram is being held in jail under a $230,000 secured bond. His first court appearance is Monday.
