Lakeeda Johnson takes pride in being a small town girl from Butner. Besides God, she believes her hometown and the people in it are the reasons why she is centered. Lakeeda is a proud alumna of Clark Atlanta University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Mass Media Arts. While in Georgia Lakeeda was a news intern for WSB-TV Action News and FOX 5 Atlanta. She also served as a student producer for Jacque Reid's "Reid Group," where her passion for people and telling their stories grew. News is not just “another story” for her. Instead, Lakeeda says connecting with people from several backgrounds who have different beliefs is what she cherishes most. Lakeeda is no stranger to taking full advantage of what life has to offer. During her free time she enjoys community involvement, warm cuddles with her toy poodle, singing and traveling with friends. Lakeeda is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She welcomes you to follow her on social media. She can also be reached at ljohnson@wwaytv3.com
