Sarah joined the WWAY news team as a reporter in 2013. From February of that year until spring 2014 she chased down the top stories making headlines in the Cape Fear. In May of 2014 she took a seat alongside Randy Aldridge as co-anchor of Good Morning Carolina. Now, she cannot imagine not waking up with the people of southeastern North Carolina weekday mornings. Before Sarah called Wilmington home, she worked at WHDH in Boston with the editing staff as a video coordinator. Sarah attended Suffolk University in Boston, MA where she graduated cum laude with a degree in Communication. During her years there, she reported, anchored, produced, and directed her college’s newscast, Suffolk U News. In 2011 the news team won the Associated Press Award for Best Student Newscast in New England. Also in 2011, Sarah was the first student at Suffolk University to be selected to report weekly for New England Cable News’ Morning Show, where she assisted in the creation of the “Suffolk in the City” segment. Growing up Sarah lived just south of Boston. She is the oldest of five children and her love for the Cape Fear inspired one of her sisters to also relocate to Wilmington. The two of them are VERY thankful to have escaped those long, cold, and snowy New England winters and live by the beach! When she is not working, Sarah loves to travel and stay active because she has a major sweet tooth.
