Big Talker FM gets new transmitter for clearer signal

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Big Talker 106.7 FM has been on the air for a while. But one complaint it’s heard from listeners is about the station’s weak signal. Now that’s a thing of the past.

The radio station just got a brand new transmitter. Many listeners said they would lose the station as they drove or would simply hear static. Now the station has moved its tower and upgraded the antenna. It is already getting positive feedback.

“We have been getting calls since we came back on live around 4:00 last Friday that people can hear us. We’ve had a lot of encouraging messages being sent to this station, we’ve heard from advertisers. It really has been an extremely positive response since we upgraded the signal,” Redwolf Broadcasting Director of Operations Aimee Mulligan said.

With that clear signal, you can listen to the WWAY’s Good Morning Carolina from 6 to 7 a.m. Mondays through Fridays and the rest of the Big Talker lineup, which includes mostly conservative talk shows, including Wilmington-based Mornings with Joe Catenacci, statewide political discussion on The Chad Adams Show and national personalities like Sean Hannity and Dana Loesch and financial expert Dave Ramsey, throughout the day.
