Healing Place celebrates women completing recovery treatment with wardrobe donations

WILMINGTON, N.C. — The Healing Place of New Hanover County is showing support and appreciation for women impacted by addiction and homelessness ahead of Mother’s Day.
Cabi Clothing helped provide free wardrobes to 40 women finishing recovery treatment through the program.
The donations included clothing, shoes, handbags and gift boxes filled with makeup and other personal items.
Tracy Mullins, a stylist and team leader with Cabi Clothing, said the effort is meant to encourage and empower women as they move into the next stage of their recovery journey.
“It’s all about empowering women today that are working hard on themselves to get out there and be the best version of themselves,” Mullins said. “It’s just a form of self care especially this year for Mother’s Day.”
Mullins said she hopes the donations provide encouragement to women facing challenges in their lives.
“Going forward we just hope people can overcome their obstacles and addictions, whatever hard things they dealing with in life,” Mullins said.
The event celebrated a major milestone for dozens of women completing recovery treatment while helping build confidence as they begin a new chapter.
