Longtime dealership manager Pat Koballa buys Kia franchise

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — From watching TV or listening to the radio here in the Cape Fear, you probably have heard the name Pat Koballa.

He’s been the longtime face and voice of Stevenson Automotive and now, he’s putting his name on the building.

After the owner of Stevenson died last year, Hendrix Automotive acquired the company.

Last week, after being a manager for three decades Koballa decided it was time to be an owner himself.

He took over the Kia franchise and says he plans to keep offering the same service the people of the Cape Fear have come to expect from him.

“As the new owner of Coastal Kia I want to provide my customers an unparalleled experience,” Kabolla said. “I want to provide the best experience that they can have at a car dealership. I want it to be fun and I want it to be enjoyable.”

Koballa says Coastal Kia will stay at its present location at the corner of Zoom Court and Market Street and he is looking to add to his staff. If you’re interested, apply in person at the dealership.
