Moores Creek resumes Living History program
CURRIE, NC (WWAY) – Moores Creek National Battlefield had originally cancelled it’s Living History Program scheduled for later this month because of flooding from Hurricane Matthew, but now it’s back on.
According to a news release, efforts to restore the park happened faster than anticipated. As a result, the park superintendent decided to let the event happen as originally scheduled.
The Third Saturday Living History Program is November 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Moores Creek National Battlefield.
Historians will demonstrate Colonial crafts and trades such as Blacksmithing, Candle making, Spinning, Gardening, Cooking, and much more. Visitors can view live demonstrations and interact with Living Historians as they bring history back to life.
The event is free.
That evening’s Candlelight Tour will remain cancelled.
