Passenger reimbursed for Uber after ILM flight mishap
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — We have an update to a story WWAY brought you earlier this month about a diverted flight at ILM.
On July 10, the late night flight from Charlotte had to be rerouted to Myrtle Beach after a communication error with the FAA air traffic controller at ILM.
Some passengers opted to take an Uber home.
Wilmington woman Kate Cherry tried to get reimbursed for her trip to no avail.
Another passenger contacted WWAY Thursday and said after going back and forth with American Airlines, they eventually sent her a check for $273 to pay for her ride to Holly Ridge.
