Several Bloods gang members arrested on drug charges in Wilmington
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – Seven people with ties to the United Blood Nation-Nine Trey gang in Wilmington have been arrested on drug charges.
The US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of NC says Kejuan Timoz Shabazz Smith, 24, Daenzal Xavier Murphy, 24, Theodore Pierce, Jr., 19, Alicia Rashawn Johnson, 18, Darrell Tykwan Atkinson, 19, Theodore Roosevelt Hardy, III, 23, and Khalil Djour Truesdale, 20, were arrested October 24.
According to criminal complaint, the investigation began in April. In both April and May, agents bought heroin from the suspects.
If convicted, the defendants face a maximum 20 years in prison.
The FBI Safe Streets Task Force, the NC SBI, the NC Highway Patrol, New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, Jacksonville Police, Onslow County Sheriff’s Office and Wilmington Police are all investigating.
