Transit authority to restart downtown construction

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — We now know when construction will resume in downtown Wilmington on the Wave multi-modal transport center.

The Cape Fear Public Transit Authority heard an update at their meeting Monday.

Wave Transit is expected to enter a nearly $4 million contract with Monteith Construction to continue work

They will review the contracts one more time at their meeting next month.

The Deputy Director tells us they expect work to restart around November 5.
