WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wildlife Artists of the Carolinas (WAOTC) will host its fourth annual “Into the Wild” fall exhibition and sale next month at Events on Front in downtown Wilmington.

The show, located at 130 N. Front St., will run from Sept. 24 through Sept. 26. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. A reception and awards presentation is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 25, from 6 to 9 p.m., coinciding with Wilmington’s Fourth Friday Gallery Nights.

The event is free and open to the public. It will feature work from WAOTC artists across a range of mediums, including painting, photography, mixed media and three-dimensional works. Awards will be judged by Richard “Rick” Conn, an artist known for his metal sculptures and kinetic fabrications who has also worked as an academic leader and arts advocate in the Cape Fear region.

Now in its fourth year, WAOTC is a group of artists focused on wildlife-themed work. The organization says its mission is to connect wildlife art and the natural world through education, exhibitions, volunteer work and community events, while advocating for wildlife conservation throughout the Carolinas.
