Wilmington Athletic Center transitioning to O2 Fitness
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington Athletic Club announced it is transitioning to O2 Fitness.
This comes after the sale of the club’s property to New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
The WAC ownership team made the announcement in an email to members.
Starting Tuesday, a spokesperson said O2 Fitness will be on-site at the WAC to meet with members and answer questions.
During transition time, which the team said is through December 1, the current WAC class schedule and business hours will follow the November schedule and remain as is.
On December 1, the WAC will close its doors for good.
After that, a spokesperson said WAC members can continue fitness activities at any O2 location.
They said members now have access to all 23 O2 Fitness locations.
O2 Fitness amenities include:
State of the art weight and cardio equipment with TV’s and personal viewing screens
Dedicated functional training areas and equipment
Beautiful and fully equipped Group Exercise Studios
Large and luxurious locker rooms
Free Kids Club
Complementary towel service
Memberships also includes access to over 95 group exercise classes per week including:
WAC said O2 Fitness trainers will be on site during the next few weeks to schedule two free sessions with members.
