Rain washes out Cape Fear Fair & Expo again tonight and Preschool Day Wednesday

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — After a sun-splashed opening weekend, rain has washed out the start of the work week at the Cape Fear Fair & Expo.

Organizers had hoped to reopen tonight after a rainout yesterday, but that was not to be in the forecast, so they canceled the fair for tonight.

The fair’s schedule had included Preschool Day for Wednesday, but after two days worth of rain, the morning outing for little kids has also been canceled.

The fair at Wilmington International Airport is scheduled to resume Wednesday 5-11 p.m. with the same times for Thursday. Friday’s schedule is 5 p.m.-midnight followed by noon-midnight Saturday and 1-11 p.m. Sunday.
