Lights, camera, action at the Cape Fear Museum
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — It’s lights, camera, action over at the Cape Fear Museum as folks are busy getting the ‘Starring Cape Fear’ film exhibit ready for opening.
The Cape Fear Museum is giving folks a chance to check out some memorabilia from some of their favorite movies and tv shows filmed right here in Wilmington.
Costumes and props from some of your favorite shows will be on display, everything from Blue Velvet to Eastbound and Down.
Museum curator Barbara Rowe said there’s a little something for everyone.
“Anybody who lives in the region knows that we have a film industry will get to see some things that they might not have seen before. Certainly tourists to our region are going to be excited to learn about this industry,” said Rowe.
Rowe said the local film community helped the museum track down a lot of pieces especially from some of the more recent productions.
The film exhibit opens this Friday and will remain open through February.
