Deputies investigating after armed robbery at Bojangles
NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Deputies are investigating after they said a masked man robbed a New Hanover County Bojangles at gunpoint early Friday.
Sheriff’s spokesman Lt. Jerry Brewer said it happened at the location at 7155 Market Street around 4 a.m. Brewer said that’s where a black man approached a manager as she was opening the store for the day.
He said the robber had a gun when he forced the manager to open the restaurant, demanding cash when they got inside. Brewer said the robber locked the manager in the freezer and took off with an unknown amount of cash.
Detectives are searching for a black male, who’s about 6 feet tall, wearing black jeans, a grey hooded sweatshirt, a black ski mask and black gloves.
