Shelters open around region for Hurricane Matthew


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — As Hurricane Matthew continues to track toward southeastern North Carolina, counties and towns have declared States of Emergency and shelters have opened to help anyone impacted by the storm.

If you need to go to a shelter, make sure to take what you need, including medication, hygiene items, several days worth of clothes, pre-packaged food, pillows, blankets and other comfort items, like games and toys for kids. If you take your pet to a shelter bring documentation of rabies vaccines, food, any medicines and any other items necessary for your pets.

Bladen County
