1 dead, another with serious injuries in accident on Eastwood Rd.

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — One person is dead, and another has serious injuries after an accident  at Rodgersville and Eastwood Rd. according to a Wilmington Police Department spokesperson.

The accident happened early Saturday afternoon. A motorcyclist involved died on the scene. A female passenger of the car involved had to be extricated from the vehicle after being pinned in, according to police spokesperson, Cathryn Lindsay. She was transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.

The driver of the car has minor injuries.
