There is a clarification on a story we reported Tuesday. In our newscast we incorrectly identified a Brunswick County couple as the owners of Smile Spa, one of the four massage parlors raided last week by the sheriff's department.

Parts of our area are drying out this morning after more high water along the coast Tuesday night. In Carolina Beach, unusually high tides have caused flooding for a second straight night.

Reformers in the General Assembly will have to wait for their chance to change North Carolina's 50-year-old annexation laws. A House judiciary committee hearing scheduled for Tuesday was pushed back until Wednesday. There was no word on why.

The Cape Fear Public Utility Authority's board is expected to vote on its budget for the next fiscal year Wednesday. The board is considering increasing the threshold on the tiered rate structure it uses, meaning customers would not be charged a higher rate until they use 12,000 gallons.
