Military criminal investigators in North Carolina are trying to find out what happened to an Army intelligence officer from Montana found shot to death on a trail along Fort Bragg's perimeter. Army officers say 33-year-old Capt. Jeremiah Sipes of Belgrade, MT, was killed by a single gunshot on New Year's Day.

The waterlogged US Airways jet that made a near-miraculous landing on the Hudson River nearly two years ago appears headed to a home in Charlotte.
