The body of a Wilmington soldier killed in Afghanistan is back on American soil. Sgt. Thomas J. Butler IV’s body arrived at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware last night. A program aimed at lowering the costs of energy and water for New Hanover County Schools appears to be paying off. EduCon, the company the school district partnered with last year to help reduce energy consumption and costs, says the school district save almost $1 million the first year of the program. A Wilmington man is among three American soldiers killed in Afghanistan yesterday. Sgt. Thomas J. Butler, known as T.J., was killed in action. His body will arrive back in the United States tonight. Full story...
