A state trooper is under investigation after a woman says he raped her earlier this week.
A spokeswoman for the State Bureau of Investigation confirms the agency received a request from the New Hanover County District Attorney's Office today to investigate Tpr. Bryan Phillips for an allegation of sexual assault.
