Bradshaw out as Ports Authority executive director

video Tom Bradshaw is out as executive director of the NC State Ports Authority, an official confirmed on Monday. Ports authority spokeswoman Laura Blair said Bradshaw no longer works for the NC Department of Transportation, but provided no other information.

videoOn Monday the Laney boys basketball team picked up their first win of the season. Laney defeated New Bern. Laney also won the girls game. Unfortunately, the UNCW men's basketball team did not have similar results. Buzz Peterson's squad suffered their second home loss of the season. James Madison beat UNCW 63-56 at Trask Coliseum.

video Last week, WWAY broke the story of Joshua Ward, who was badly beaten in the Bladen county jail. Former jailer Marcus Hubbard told us that kind of violence is nothing new at the Bladen county jail. He said his complaints would often times fall on deaf ears.
