Pastor using second chance at life to promote safety in schools

Pastor Yushonda Midgette-Spriggs says she's been given a second chance at life and she wants to make a difference. Midgette-Spriggs has always loved to dance and entertain, but her passion for performing was crippled after a near fatal crash in 1996.

A judge has decided that just one jury will hear all charges against a U.S. Army general charged with sexual misconduct.

Father kills 10-year-old son while cleaning gun

Authorities say a 10-year-old boy has been killed after he was shot by his father while he cleaned his shotgun. Robeson County deputies say 34-year-old Christopher Stanlane was on the couch in his Fairmont home wiping down the gun around 4 p.m. Sunday when it fired.
