John Edwards denies reports he is engaged to Rielle Hunter

READ MORE:

John Edwards is denying a report that he’s going to marry longtime mistress Rielle Hunter, a source close to the former North Carolina senator tells POLITICO.

“John Edwards says the story is false,” the source said on Friday, responding to the National Enquirer’s story that Edwards got engaged to the mother of his lovechild just weeks after the death of his wife, Elizabeth.

The Jan. 17 issue of the Enquirer says the couple may tie the knot some time this summer.

Edwards

Here are some stories the Enquirer got wrong:
(1) Carol Burnett was not drunk in public with Henry Kissinger in 1976, and she won a $1.6 million judgment against the paper.
(2) The male family members of kidnapping victim Elizabeth Smart were in fact not part of a gay sex ring.
(3) Cameron Diaz was not caught cheating on Justin Timberlake in 2005.
(4) Representative Gary Condit’s wife did not attack missing intern Chandra Levy before Levy’s 2001 disappearance. In 2004, Condit settled a $209 million libel suit against American Media, The Enquirer’s publisher, for an undisclosed amount.
(5) Clint Eastwood won $150,000 from The Enquirer in 1997 when the paper referred to a syndicated interview with the actor as “an exclusive.”
(6) Last June, actress Brooke Shields reached a settlement with The Enquirer after a reporter and a photographer from the paper checked her mother, who suffers from dementia, out of a New Jersey nursing home to gather information for a story.
I would hardly say the Enquirer is a reputable source.

Edwards the liar

"But you have to consider the source."

If I remember correctly, the Enquirer reported the story, and for days or maybe a week, the lame-stream media ignored it.

They were protecting him because of his "golden boy" image and political affiliations, regardless of the truth.

I think I would at least consider the Enquirer to be as respectable now to CNN, MSNBC and CBS..(especially with the Dan Rather fake Bush documents hatchet job for which he eventually was exposed as a fraud.)

However, in North Carolina, it's pretty evident that a liar, and a morally bankrupt Edwards cannot seem to be disbarred.

Hopefully one day this poser will have to pick up a shovel and make an honest living to support his new position as baby daddy.

In NC, it seems that you can only be disbarred for murder, or not paying your dues to the Bar Association.

Edwards

If they disbarred lawyers for lying there wouldn't be any left. He wasn't under oath when he lied about his personal life. Why should he be disbarred? They let Bush stay President when he lied us into a war.A tad bit more serious than who somebody slept with.

edwards

how true but by the way dont forget that clinton was impeached for lying about the lewinsky affair and remained president

Clinton committed perjury, a felony

Clinton was under oath when he lied. Edwards is just a slimeball who lies whenever the mood strikes him.

Well, they did break the

Well, they did break the story of his affair and the baby so there might be some truth to this story also.

JOHN EDWARDS

YES CONSIDER THE SOURCE. THIS WANT BE THE LAST WE HEAR. THE WHATEVER SHE IS, NEEDS MONEY, MORE THAT JOHN IS GIVING AND WILL TELL THE NATIONAL ENQUIRER ANYTHING. SHE HAD TO BE QUIET WHEN ELIZABETH WAS ALIVE BUT NOW THE WHATEVER WILL TELL ANYTHING. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT SHE COMES UP WITH NEXT. I FEEL SORRY FOR THE KIDS!!!!

It was the National Enquirer....

....that broke the story about him being the father and still carrying on with his mistress.
