Tree trimming to close part of Market next week

The NCDOT will shut down a busy stretch of Market St. in Wilmington most of next week. Crews will trim the trees along Market from 17th St. to 23rd St. Monday through Thursday. Market will be closed daily from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. as they work.

DOT ready with salt for icy fight on the roads

videoThe North Carolina DOT is working to deal with icy roads. They have been using a limited amount of brine on the roads because of the rain, but 335 tons of salt fill the warehouses at the maintenance yard in Castle Hayne.

NCDOT sets hearings to discuss proposed ferry toll hikes
