The Wrightsville Beach Aldermen held a special meeting to talk about the ongoing bridge work. The North Third Street Bridge in downtown Wilmington is in desperate need of repairs. The bridge was built in 1920 and will take a year to replace, but replacing the bridge would have a major impact on of the biggest events in the Port City. Full story...

After 27-year-old cyclist Zachary Paul Tyler was killed in a hit and run accident near the 7000 block of Wrightsville Avenue earlier this June, a memorial stood in his honor. Now, the spot where Zachary died is bare. "Zachary had only died right here less than a week, and the NCDOT came and removed it," said mother Beverly Tyler. Full story...
