An early-morning fire in Columbus County claimed the life of a local radio broadcaster.
Colleagues at WTAB-AM in Tabor City say gospel show host Bobby Pait Sr. died in the fire.

The Columbus County Sheriff's Office says two shootings on Friday that cross state lines may be connected. Police say Timothy Goings and Natasha Smith were shot Friday in the Green Acres community in Tabor City.

The Columbus County Sheriff's Office says two men have been arrested in connection to a Christmas day murder. Napolean Cooper and his twin brother Lapoleon Cooper were arrested for the murder of Gilberto Segovia.
