UNCW claims 13th straight CAA swimming title

By a whisker the UNCW men's swimming team captured the CAA title on Saturday night. It's the 13th consecutive CAA title for Dave Allen's squad. In a winner take all event UNC Wilmington's 400 yard freestyle relay team won the last event of the night to secure the CAA title. On a related note former Laney swimmer Stephen Coetzer helped lead NC State to a second place finish at the ACC Swimming Championship with a school record performance. Full story...

The 2014 Atlantic Coast Conference football schedule released Wednesday is now complete. It features a nationally televised Thursday night game between Duke and North Carolina. WWAY's Chasity Melvin was honored in Cary on Saturday by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association for being of the best athletes in the state.
