Yesterday's election ballot mix-up has New Hanover County Commission Chair Jason Thompson wanting answers. Thompson says someone has to take responsibility for what went on with the ballots at Freedom Baptist Church and the Northeast Library.

New Hanover made news across the state by using the wrong ballots at some voting locations. The problem happened at two precincts. Election officials say they were suppose to receive a specific ballot, but instead they received a different one.

We've seen problems in elections before, but now it's reaching a boiling point with some voters. Some New Hanover County voters have complained about voting machines not registering their votes correctly. One voter, who did not want to go on camera, told us he raised his hand for help, but it never came.

Larry Hammond, Bladen County's Elections Director, said he received a call from the state BOE yesterday informing him of the allegations. He said the BOE did not tell him who made the allegations or about whom the allegations were made.
