BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Bladen County man will spend more than 30 years in prison after he was found guilty of first-degree sexual offense with a child.
John Owen Jacobs, 44, was sentenced in Bladen County Superior Court Tuesday, according to the District Attorney’s Office. According to a release, Jacobs committed a sexual offense with an 11-year-old girl at his Bladenboro home back in April of 2013.
The release says the victim then reported the crime to teachers at her school, who then alerted authorities. Jacobs could spend up to 46 years behind bars.
