WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College announced Tuesday that there would soon be staffing changes.
CFCC says they will not renew some staff positions due to “a projected decrease in budget, enhanced technologies and streamlined processes.”
A spokeswoman for the college says affected employees are encouraged to apply for other positions within the school and they hope to retain as many employees as possible.
“Our college remains healthy and strong,” President Jim Morton said. “As we look forward to our next 60 years, we are ensuring Cape Fear Community College continues to make quality education affordable and accessible to the community, to provide leadership in workforce training, and support the economic development of the region.”
